New semiconductor material, overcomes 40 year constraint to advancements in solid-state cooling

Dallas, TX - (June 6, 2002)--  Marlow Industries, Inc., the worldwide leader in thermoelectric cooling solutions, announces a new thermoelectric semiconductor material that boasts unrivaled performance and durability.

This new material, brand named MAM (Micro-Alloyed Material) overcomes a decades old trade-off between performance and fragility, boasting a combination of increased efficiency and improved mechanical strength that was never before thought possible.  MAM's ability to deliver both of these critical characteristics, translates into measurable improvements for numerous markets including:  Defense, Space, Photonics, Laser cooling, Medical, Commercial and Industrial applications.
