Marlow Industries, Inc. is First Thermoelectric Solutions Provider to Meet New Stringent ISO 9001:2000 Standards

DALLAS, TX --April 10, 2001 Marlow Industries, Inc., a worldwide leader in innovative thermoelectric solutions, is the first company in its industry to receive recommendation for the new ISO 9001:2000 registration.

ISO 9001 is an international model for quality management which sets the standards for design, development, production, installation and servicing processes within a company while emphasizing customer focus, and continual improvement. Late last year, this standard was revised to require significant changes to existing quality management systems including an increased focus on customer satisfaction, process management and quality objectives.

BVQI, the "top-rated" North American Management Systems Registrar (Quality Digest, July 2000), conducted the audit of Marlow Industries for compliance to the stringent new standards. After completion of the audit, BVQI recommended Marlow Industries for immediate and unconditional certification to ISO 9001:2000 as they found no outstanding non-conformances.

Jack Hunt, Director of Quality for Marlow Industries and veteran to audit standards for over 20 years asserts, "This is certainly another milestone in the rich heritage of quality at Marlow Industries." Hunt explained, "It is a rare achievement for an organization to qualify to a new ISO revision without the need for any post-audit activities or action plans." Barry Nickerson, President and Chief Operating Officer of Marlow Industries added, "Most companies will have to change the way they think to commit to a philosophy of continual improvement, process management, and customer focus. Marlow Industries didn't. We've been running our company this way for many years."

According to Worldpreferred.com, Inc., an RAB recommended resource for accreditation information on the Internet, Marlow Industries is one of the first 100 North American companies and the only thermoelectric company on record to achieve compliance with the new ISO 9001 standards.
