Dallas,
Texas (January 5, 2002) -- The Trains At NorthPark Center,
benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, is the most
elaborate toy train exhibit in Texas and the largest fundraiser of
its kind in the nation attracting more than 75,000 visitors each
year. The special event features more than 40 Lionel-type O-Gauge
and the larger G-Gauge locomotives traveling across 2,500 feet of
winding track. Spanning 2,800 square feet, the exhibit includes
numerous famous landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Dallas'
Reunion Tower and the Statue of Liberty.
"The Trains At NorthPark generates approximately one half
of the annual operating budget for the Ronald McDonald House of
Dallas" shared Courtney McLain, Director of Development for
the organization. Ms. McLain added, "We are thankful for the
continued support of Marlow Industries in their volunteer efforts
and contributions over the years." The Trains At NorthPark
Center raised $500,000 for RMHC of Dallas this year.
