Technical Ladder

Purpose

The Success of Marlow Industries has historically been supported by the innovative skills of our technical personnel—scientists, engineers and other technologists involved in the development of innovative products and the processes and facilities needed for their manufacture. This procedure is intended to formalize a career ladder for the technical personnel at MI, personnel whose primary job function is technically oriented. The technical career ladder parallels that available to those whose skills are directed to management. This "Technical Ladder" provides equal opportunity for personal recognition, salary, responsibility and ultimately, eligibility to corporate officership to those selected individuals who make continued and outstanding technical contributions to Marlow Industries.

Scope

This document describes the current policy and practices of Marlow Industries, Inc. and will be interpreted, administered and amended by MI within its sole discretion. This procedure is not intended to and does not confer a commitment or contract of employment, legal rights or impose legal obligations.

Designation of Levels and Eligibility

All members of the MI technical population are eligible for technical ladder designation. The MI technical population includes technicians, engineers, scientists, mathematicians and other technologists who are engaged in product research or development, manufacturing, project engineering, quality assurance or other technically sophisticated activities.

  • Technician
