Student Practicum Program

II-VI Marlow offers a practicum for Dallas-area high school students. In the practicum program, students receive a paid internship, professional mentorship and $500 scholarship.

Students will also satisfy the work requirement to apply for the II-VI Incorporated Foundation Scholarship, an award of up to $10,000 per year. The foundation is open to students of diverse background who plan to study engineering, maintain a 2.5 GPA through college and complete 600 hours of relevant work experience. The maximum award for this scholarship is limited to four years and totals $40,000.

In coordination with school counselors, students prepare résumés and interview for available job openings. The selected students will work full-time during the summer of their junior year and part-time during their senior year under the supervision of a professional mentor.
