Marlow Power Generation Engineers Presenting at Energy Harvesting & Storage Europe Expo 2012
Marlow Industries’ Power Generation engineering team will present the key components of thermal energy harvesting technology at IDTechEx Energy Harvesting & Storage Europe Expo 2012 in Berlin, Germany, May 15-16.
Pravesh Parmanand, Sr. Electrical Engineer II, will provide a comprehensive overview of the theory behind a thermal energy harvesting system. “An engineer must consider a wide range of thermal and electrical parameters when designing a thermal energy harvesting system,” states Parmanand. “Thermal energy harvesting is not a ‘one size fits all’ solution.” Parmanand will speak to the various components involved in creating a thermal energy harvesting system on Monday, May 14th at the Estrel Hotel, Berlin.
Josh Moczygemba, Power Generation Product Engineering Manager, will present a more in-depth view of exactly how a thermal energy harvesting system works; breaking down the science of a thermoelectric operating module and focusing on proper thermal energy harvesting design. Moczygemba will systematically address the mathematics behind an optimal energy harvesting design as it pertains to electrical and thermal load matching and other elements essential to a favorable thermal energy harvesting system. Moczygemba is scheduled to present a Master Class titled: “Introduction to Energy Harvesting for Low Power Electronics” on Wednesday, May 16th at the Estrel Hotel, Berlin.
Parmanand and Moczygemba are working to advance the awareness of thermal energy harvesting technology, and will share lessons learned concerning the critical components required for a successful implementation of this emerging technology.
